WORK ABROAD

You can apply for an AIESEC traineeship online if you think (having fun-work internationally-learning cultures-making new friends) is your cup of tea.

If you are new into AIESEC International Exchange program, find out more about it ...!

PROGRAM INFORMATION

How much does it cost? - AIESEC charges $45 dollars for application processing fees (-the application fee is going to rise soon. So apply now while it's a bargain-). There is another $455 dollars fees if you are selected into the program. (If you don't get a traineeship, your $455 is refunded. No worries). That's not the end of it. Once you finished your traineeship and return to the country, we will give you a $50 refund after your fill your traineeship evaluation.

Apply - Apply online here. You will be required to pay an application fee to AIESEC to participate in the Exchange Program.

Selection - Review Boards where applicants are screened for suitability for AIESEC's Exchange Program.

Review Process : AIESEC conducts Review Boards where applicants are screened for suitability for AIESEC's Exchange Program. Review Boards usually consist of academic representatives, members of the local business community, and AIESEC members. Based on passing the Review Board your application will then be entered into the global matching system where traineeship and student applications are matched. Your local AIESEC representative will provide communication with you regarding this process.

If selected you will be matched to a suitable traineeship within a period of six months.

Depending on your preferences the matching process may take anywhere up to 6 months. Applicants that have more flexible preferences for where they would like to work and what type of position are more likely to be matched with a suitable traineeship sooner.

Preparation - AIESEC provides an extensive Preparation program for trainees prior to departure, ensuring you are ready for the challenge of living and working abroad. In some countries, this includes reciprocal organizational preparation programs for you and your employer. We also assist in obtaining all necessary travel documentation, insurance and visas. On arrival, we ensure a smooth transition in your new environment, assisting in the acquisition of accommodation and financial services, and providing a basic orientation program.

Reception / Integration - Reception is one of the key characteristics that makes AIESEC's Exchange Program stand out among the many work abroad programs available today. Reception ensures that during your traineeship you can not only gain a great degree of practical experience but also learn to understand a new culture and its people. Reception in AIESEC's Exchange Program means active involvement and interaction with the AIESEC members in your host community. It is our network of active members on the ground that enable our exchanges to become intense learning and personal development experiences not simply a job away from home.

Reintegration - The hardest part about going on exchange is the re-adjustment process when you have to return home. Sometimes after your traineeship your home can seem like the foreign land. In AIESEC's Exchange Program, leaving your home country, living and working abroad, and returning home are part of the one learning process. AIESEC supports you with re-integration upon returning home helping to make your entire experience not just a time when you worked abroad but a life changing experience. The Re-integration step of our exchange process is an important one for AIESEC as you have the opportunity become involved sharing your experience to preparing future trainees before they go abroad.
